Día 2

SSS Building

Central Square

Recuerda que puedes leer la mayoría de libros que obtengamos desde el inventario.

Now go to the right side to find the Legion Foods shop. Make sure to buy just 1 Tender Whitefish. It'll come in handy later.

Upstairs you can find more shops. We shouldn't really have much money right now, but once we complete some of the Support Requests we'll come back to upgrade Lloyd's equipment. Just note that you'll want to buy a Denim Jacket and a Fine Sandals for him.

Now go ahead and enter the Orbal Store on the right side, Genten. This place is great and you'll be coming here often to get stuff done with your sepith. Speak to the people in here if you want, but you'll want to speak to the receptionist behind the desk, the one with a hat on the right. She's Wendy and start liking her because you'll see her a lot.

UPGRADE / SYNTHESIZE
Here in Genten we'll be able to Upgrade and Synthesize, which is fantastic.

Upgrade: this lets us to open up slots in our orbments, allowing us to place more quartz in them.
Synthesize: we use the sepith we get from chests and defeating enemies to make new quartz.
Although not exclusive to this store, note that you can also sell your sepith for Mira. Do this if you're low on Mira, but I recommend against it until you at least open up all the slots of your orbment.
Here I recommend you open up a slot for each of your party members. This will take up a lot of sepith (almost all of it), but it'll come in handy. We'll be able to go into the Geofront later so you can farm enemies in there if you don't have enough right now. For that fight I talked about earlier, making an Attack 1 for Lloyd is not a bad idea either. You could also make him an HP 1 instead, but up to you.

And that's about it. Go ahead and head west into West Street.

West Street
After the initial scene, you can see the little kids we saved running around. Feel free to talk to them if you want. Go ahead and enter the Morges Bakery that's next to the entrance. A little scene will play in here and we'll get the recipe Happy Ham Sandwich, alongside the very important Recipe Notebook.

COOKING
Cooking is a very important part of the series and making use of it is completely up to you, but it comes in handy! There are some things to take note of this though:

There are different variations of the same dish, and you get them depending on who you select for cooking. These variations are: Supreme, Regular, Peculiar, and Failure.

You can access the Recipe Book by holding PSSQUARE.png and pressing PSv Up.png.
Leave the Bakery and enter the southwestern apartment complex Bellheim. In here enter the room at the very end to find Lloyd's aunt and uncle. Talk to them for a little sacene. Head back outside and go inside the building to the north of it, with the vines outside called Villa Raisins.

In here you can go around and talk to people, but what you really want to do is to go through the secret entrance to find a Tz chest.png with Eagle Eye. This secret entrance is located UNDER the staircase.

NOTE: this quartz is great as it allows you to see enemies on your minimap. It acts as a scanner and the enemies appear as little red dots.
Leave the building, go up the stairs and enter the General Store Tallys' if you want. If you didn't buy the Crossbell Times 1 over at the Times Department Store, make sure to get it here. Go ahead and leave through the northern exit towards the Residential Street.

Residential Street
Not much going on here. If you check the large western house you can trigger a little scene. Why is Elie acting so strange? There are several houses we can't go in right now. Go ahead and move on to the next area to the northeast, the Entertainment District.

Entertainment District
First things first, head to the open area and speak to the blue-haired girl at the ice cream shop to get the recipe Vanilla Au Lait. Another one!

Head inside Arc en Ciel (add an L to that name and it's literally the JROCK band haha), the large building behind, and a scene will play. If you've played other Trails games, these 2 ladies are very familiar.

East of Arc en Ciel is the Hotel. There's nothing for us inside, but you can rest here. This one here costs 800 Mira, but fully recharges our CP. Still, that's a lot of money for us right now. Now, ignore the Administrative District to the east. That's our last stop. So instead head southeast into the Back Alley.

Back Alley
In here you can find the Garante Jazz Bar and Imelda Antique Shop. Not much can be done in these shops right now (the former sells Shiny Blue for a whopping 1500 Mira while the latter has some really good and EXPENSIVE accessories). The alley in between the shops has some thugs in the back and we cannot proceed. Hmm. You can talk to the green-haired girl walking around with a purple dress for a little scene with Randy.

And that's about it for the Back Alley. Not much for us here right now. There's a chest next to the Antique Shop that we cannot get right now. We'll get it later. Head right back into Central Square and before we continue, let's do something real quick.

Head to the roof of the SSS building and you'll see our friend the black cat. Tio tells us his name is Coppe. Read the note below, but we'll want to feed Coppe each chapter. This is for more collectibles of course, but also because he gives us stuff. We usually give him fish, but we can't fish at the moment. There's a way to go around this.

Save your game and open your Recipe Book. Select Crispy Fry and have your party cook. We're looking for a failed item called Cat Food, which is very appropriate. I'm not sure if Lloyd, Elie, and Tio can make this (since they all have 3*), but I made it with Tio. It takes a couple tries, but you can get it. Reload until you get it.

Once you have it give it to Coppe and he'll run off. He comes back really quick with a little something for us, Fish Fillet x3. Let's continue exploring. From here use the eastern exit to reach East Street. From here we're going counterclockwise.

East Street
This is a large area. The building near the northern exit is the Acacia Apartment Complex. Nothing for us in there right now (we'll come back later). Continue east and the next building is the Bracer's Guild. Watch the scene that plays out here and we'll meet the Bracer Michel. Seems like a nice guy, kinda. Head upstairs after to find 2 more Bracers, Wenzel and Scott. It seems Arios is not here right now. Dang it. Note that, if you talk to Michel before you leave, he'll tell you to come back later. Yes we'll do!

Leave and enter the next building, the Fisherman's Guild. There's a couple of people talking here, but ignore them and head upstairs. Check the bookcases to learn a new recipe, Crispy Fry.

Head back outside and head inside the last building, right next to the exit. Talk to the people in here... it's the people from the train! It seems the old man is REALLY important. Good connections right there Lloyd!

Back outside, check the little statue next to the house. It's a Jizo Statue. We can offer it some of the "exceptional dishes" we prepare. We'll be doing so because, of course, collectibles.

The large building to the south down the stairs is the Long Lao Tavern & Inn. Not much for us in there right now, but we'll be coming here later in the day. You can talk to the people at the stalls in front of the buildings, but they mostly sell items and ingredients. Nothing necessarily useful. head south down the metal walkway and into the Downtown District.

Downtown District
As you enter, follow the western path and you'll see a couple shops, the Exchange Shop Neinvalli and Trinity. We cannot access either one of them right now, but there's a secret nearby. Go directly southwest from the entrance to Trinity and you'll go up a secret staircase that leads to a Tz chest.png with Flower Pumps in it.

That's about it for us right now. Not much to be done here, sadly. Again, we'll be spending a lot of time here later. For now return to East Street and take the northern exit into Harbor District.

Harbor District
This is a very large area where we can't do anything right now, but get to know the place. Also make sure to check the IBC building to the north for a little scene. For now, head west into the Administrative District.

Administrative District
As soon as you enter, enter the building south of you, the Crossbell City Library. In here speak to the man sitting at the table on your right here on the first floor called Novas and he'll give you the book Back Alley Doctor Glenn - Ch.1. Another book for a collection!

Go ahead and read all the books in here if you want (they don't count towards anything so you can ignore them if you want). Head into the northeastern building, the Crossbell City Hall. We can't do anything in here, but there's another scene with the purple-haired girl we saw at Arc en Ciel. She's a cutie!

Now onto the Urgent Request.

URGENT REQUEST: Support Request Explanation
Client: Crossbell Police - Reception Desk
Reward: 1500 Mira, +5 DP
This is a very simple first quest. We need to head to the Administrative District on the northern side of Crossbell. Once here head into the CPD, located on the northwestern side of the district.

Once inside approach the counter and speak to the blue-haired lady. We'll have a scene here and we're introduced to them: the blue-haired woman is Rebecca and the pink-haired gal is Fran. She actually has a portrait so she's a lot more important.

During the scene, you'll need to ask Rebecca about requests and DP/Detective Rank. Go ahead and ask all 4 questions. Afterwards, select Nothing else and the scene continues. Right afterwards, however, the request will come to an end.
Now that we've completed the request, you can explore the CPD if you want, but when ready head back to the SSS building and check the terminal in here. Select Report to HQ to turn in the request. You'll see here how much DP we got, as well as our rewards. Nice. This is the same for all requests (of course values will differ).

Go ahead and check up on the requests. We have a whole bunch now! We have 2 Support Requests, and an Urgent one. Like I said, I'll link below the Support Requests and I'll tell you when it's a good time to do them.

Lost Item Search
Vacancy Verification
For now, go ahead and do both of the quests linked above. We've done most of the heavy lifting already. Both of the Support Requests are short and simple.

Once you're done with them, let's go ahead and do the Urgent Request. This will take us into the Geofront once again.

URGENT REQUEST: Geofront A1 Sector Monster Extermination
Client: State Government
Reward: 1500 Mira, +5 DP
Time to head back into the Geofront!

Start making your way through the area, and when you reach the room with the ladder (remember we couldn't use it before?) take this ladder up. It'll lead us to a chest up above in Central Square with All Sepith x30 in it. Pretty nice!

Now make your way through the Geofront until you reach the last recharge station. Heal up, save your game, and make sure your CP is full (at least at 100). When ready, proceed to the next room where we fought the Frost Slimes and approach the enemy to start a fight.

BOSS FIGHT: MEGALO BAT, GRAVE BAT x4

Enemies in these requests are considered boss fights of some sort, but this one is super easy. First things first, MAKE SURE to scan the Megalo Bat. It's the only one in the game and you don't want to be missing one this early! Afterwards, notice that he'll be accompanied by 4 Grave Bats. These are the same bats you normally find here in the Geofront so you've most likely killed a couple dozen at this point.

This guy, despite being this early, can pack quite a punch, dealing almost 200 dmg. with "Chomp" to a character. This is quite a bit of damage and can very likely kill Tio in 2 hits if he decides to attack her twice in a row and without healing her in between attacks.

The little bats don't really do much besides their regular bite attack that does around 30 dmg.

To deal with these guys, I highly suggest you get them all together and use Tio's S-Craft Ether Buster. This is a gigantic attack with a huge range. This one normally kills the Grave Bats in one hit, which is really nice. If you really need to, you can also use Randy's Crimson Gale S-Craft to deal with any stragglers. As for the boss itself, stick with your arts. He's very weak to all the elements (especially water) so keep using those and heal up when necessary. If needed, use Elie's S-Craft to fully heal the party.
After the fight watch the scene and Tio will open up the path behind, giving us a little shortcut. Go ahead and go through the door in the back. Take the elevator on the right, heal up at the top and leave the Geofront.
As soon as we leave the Geofront Sergei will contact us about a case we need to investigate immediately. Sounds serious. We need now to go to the Downtown District. We get there via East Street. BEFORE we head there, this is where we're going to have the "Lloyd fight" so make sure you're well prepared. Remember what I told you: make sure you bought the weapon and armor for him. Also make sure to buy a couple Tear Balms so you can heal up, several Battle Scopes for some enemies we're going to have to fight, and make sure your CP is maxed out at 200.

I highly suggest you head back to the SSS and use the terminal to turn in the requests for the rewards. Besides the Mira, you'll also get promoted (if you've been doing everything that gives you DP), netting you the Bravery Badge. This is an accessory that increases STR +5 and prevents Seal. That STR is much welcome in the upcoming fight! And that's it for preparations.

When ready, head to the Downtown District to start a scene where we see the 2 gangs about to fight up ahead, the Saber Vipers and the Testaments. Here we'll get to pick from 2 options. Pick the first one.

Reveal your Detective's Notebook (+1 DP)
Right after we have to fight them. We have 4 enemies here so make sure to scan each one of them. They all count as different enemies:

Saber Viper - Knife
Saber Viper - Nail Bat
Testament - Iron Pipe
Testament - Slingshot
The enemies here are nothing special. They only have their regular normal attack and that's about it. Tio can also take them all out with her S-Craft, if you can line them up, but don't use Lloyd's S-Craft. Also, make sure you scan them before you defeat them.

Watch the scene right after the fight and when prompted, pick the second option:

Handle it ourselves (+2 DP)
Now we need to go visit both the Saber Vipers and the Testaments and see what we can figure out. Let's go visit the Testaments first. Head west and enter the Trinity building. Watch the scene that plays out and we'll have another question. Pick the second option:

The wounds on the victim (+2 DP)
Once we regain control, walk to the Testament in here called Kientz. After a little talk, leave the building and head on over to the eastern side, where you'll find the Saber Vipers hangout. Speak to the man outside and he'll eventually let you in. Before you go inside, save your game. Inside, watch the scene and then it's boss time!

BOSS FIGHT: WALD
LEVEL    HP    ELEMENTAL EFFICACY    ITEM DROP
Tz enemy earth.png    Tz enemy water.png    Tz enemy fire.png    Tz enemy wind.png    Tz enemy time.png    Tz enemy space.png    Tz enemy mirage.png
6    1062    100    100    100    100    ---    ---    ---    ---
OPTIONAL OBJECTIVE
Win the fight in 32 turns or less (+3 DP)
Time to fight the leader of the Saber Vipers. Wald is no joke. If you heed my advice and upgraded all of Lloyd's equipment (weapon and armor), then you'll be ok in this fight. Do note that you don't have to win the fight. Winning the fight does get you DP at the end of the Prologue, which is a MUST for 100%ing the game. If you were to tie the fight (last the 32 rounds), then you'd still get DP, but less.

Now, let's go over what Wald can do:

Attack: his regular attack hits for around 100 dmg., which isn't bad at all.
Neck Hang: REALLY powerful attack. Hits Lloyd for a little over twice as much as his regular attack.
Ogre Slash: hits for around 70 dmg. and casts MOV down on Lloyd. Also pushes him back.
Right off the bat I recommend you use your S-Craft. These give you a little delay and Wald will most likely get 2 hits in before you get another turn. If this happens, look at how much HP you have and use Tear Balm if necessary. Otherwise, use a Battle Scope to scan him! From here you can simply continue attacking using regular attacks, or even using arts. Speaking of, if you haven't messed around with Lloyd's quartz at all, use the Crest art. It increases your DEF by 25% for 3 turns. This is a godsend.

The one attack you really want to be careful of is Neck Hang. It hits for almost 250 dmg. You want to keep your HP around at least 300 during the fight. His other attack, Ogre Slash, doesn't hit for that much but it pushes you back and lowers your MOV, making it harder to get to him. The only reason this would be bad is for defeating him in 32 turns, but let's be honest, Wald is going to chase you anyway AND you won't even take 10 turns to defeat him.

Overall a super easy fight, especially if you went through with the upgrades I mentioned.
Watch the scene after the fight and leave the hideout. We'll have another scene where we'll meet Grace, who finally introduces herself as Grace Lynn.

Afterwards, return to East Street and enter Long Lao Tavern & Inn. Speak to Grace in here to have the scenes continue.

Once you regain control, there's a couple things we need to do real quick. First off, head back to Downtown District and head to Trinity. In here speak to Kientz again. This will net us (+1 DP). Now click on the link below because we have a hidden request.

SECRET: Michel's Test
Once you've done the stuff above, return to the SSS building and head to Sergei's office (east side of the first floor. Watch the scene that plays out and now we'll have to do something about the mafia. Oh man! Afterwards, head to West Street and go to Grimwood Law Office, right next to the bakery. Watch the scenes that play out here.

Once they're over, we need to head back to the SSS building. Before you do, make sure your CP is at least 100 and also make sure you have enough items to scan enemies. Once you're ready, head inside the SSS and a scene will play out. Go ahead and examine the table here to proceed.

WARNING: continuing will take you to the end of the chapter so MAKE SURE you've done all your requests!

During the scenes here, pick the option below at the prompt:

The Presence of Heiyue (+3 DP)
Watch the lengthy scenes that play out here and we'll eventually have to chase down the mafiosos, but for this we'll need to take one party member with us. Go ahead and pick whichever one you like. Right after, we'll have to fight them, a Mafioso - Machete and a Mafioso - Pistol. We're fighting here alongside Wazy, which is pretty neat. The Mafiosos don't do anything besides attack, but MAKE SURE to scan them. That's the only thing here.

After the fight, watch the plethora of scenes that play out and the Prologue will come to an end. This was a HUGE Prologue! Your DP will be counted at the end, and you should have 41 DP total!

Si has completado todo lo indicado deberás tener 41 DP.

Logro/Trofeo Welcome to the Force conseguido por completar el prólogo 'Special Support Section'.

Logro/Trofeo Unflinching Justice conseguido por completar un capítulo sin huir de combate.
